Welcome to the DACeL Practitioners’ Network. This site is about walking the walk. Following the very positive response to the successful inaugural DACeL international conference in Stellenbosch South Africa, participants requested an ongoing option for continuing discussion and information and knowledge exchange. This DACeL Practitioners’ Network is designed to do just that.
As a network of practitioners we aim to:
- Promote eLearning broadly in Defence environments.
- Better understand specific challenges for e-Learning in the Defence Academy or College environments;
- Develop an understanding of blended approaches to learning using eLearning;
- Explore the possibilities of Web 2.0 social media for Professional Military Education (PME) and postgraduate practices; and
- Investigate the possibilities of a PME elearning network to promote collaborative projects.
This site is here for such exchanges and sharing as you wish. It is moderated (lightly) but, for the most part we rely on your professionalism.

The Organising Committee has identified suitable dates for the conference in early May, 2011. At the moment we are confirming the availability of keynote speakers and will be able to settle on the date soon. Thank you for your patience.
