Conference participants are responsible for booking their own travel and accommodation requirements. The Conference organisers and hosts will provide useful information, but are unable to act as a travel agent. Similarly, each participant is responsible for securing their own travel documents such as passports and entry visas.

Please ensure that you understand Visa requirements for the Netherlands.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR DACeL 2011 PARTICIPANTS

 

The Conference fee for 2011 is €150; students free. This fee is to be paid at the time of Registration. Registration information and form will be available soon on this site. The Conference fee includes attendance at sessions, morning and afternoon teas, lunches, a Welcome Reception and the Conference Dinner. Participants are responsible for organising their own travel and accommodation (see below).

 

Accommodation

There are four accommodation options for conference attendees:

OPTION 1: 

To promote the participation of students and minimise costs to Academy members, the Netherlands Defense College has a maximum of 50, one person `hotel style' rooms available (on a first come, first served basis), in which participants can stay for free. People who can apply for the free rooms are (in order ofpriority):

-          Student participants

-          Participants from academies in developing countries

-          Other participants

OPTION 2:

The Campanile Hotel Delft, about five minutes walk from the Netherlands Defense College, has rooms for € 105 (plus a local tax of  € 2 per day) per night, including breakfast.

OPTION 3:

WestCord Hotel Delft  (delft@westcordhotels.nl) is ideally located on the A13 between Rotterdam and The Hague (next to IKEA), and yet just moments away from the historical city centre of Delft. Delft is the city of the Dutch painter Vermeer, the world famous Delftware, canals and the beautiful historical city centre. But it is also the city of the 21st century where knowledge is created, where High Tech and design play a dominant role.

City Walk & Dinner.

Delft is an old city full of places of interest. On Thursday afternoon the committee is organising a city walk for delegates. As we walk, we will stop at arange of local restuarants for dinner.
